ERIK FELLOWS A SHINING STAR
July, 2008
How do we even prepare for a conversation with a hot actor Erik Fellows?
He’s known as a model and as main companion character on some popular music videos, but the drive in his career has turned his attention to challenges in the acting world.
METROVELVET.com wanted to know a little more about Erik and, through this
Q & A, we find out how busy his career has been.
MV: Welcome to
METROVELVET.com and thanks for the chance to get to know you. Good things have been happening lately in your career that I’m sure has been keeping you busy, but let’s start from the beginning: how did you get started in this industry?
EF: I got started in the industry back when i was about 19 yrs old. I was told by a friend that i maybe should give modeling a try you’ve a the right look for it. So I made a big move to New York and gave it a shot.
MV: What was it that attracted you to the entertainment industry the most?
EF: I think it the rush and the high of the work. I love being creative and being able to create different characters. It’s always been appealing to me.
MV: You have been building your film career, tell us how was the experience of being part of an episode of the
CSI:NY show?
EF: The episode on CSI NY was a great experience. I loved working with everyone. They made it a fun environment to be around and Gary Sinise was a super cool guy.
MV: We also find that you were part of the cast of the film: Mustang Sally: Horror House…what was that about?
EF: Mustang Sally’s Horror House was a dark comedy/ slasher film. Basically it was about these 6 guys that go out looking for some fun at this whore house and get way more than they expected!!
MV: How did any of your prior film experiences helped you in getting ready for the recently launched: Monster Mountain?
EF: I actually filmed Monster Mountain as one of my first projects. So i basically just used my first time instincts with that project.
MV: Monster Mountain is also a thriller…do you find yourself attracted to this genre of films?
EF: I do like the horror genre. I think they are a lot fun and exciting to make, i also like comedies.
MV: Let’s shift off to another facet of your career…your face is known from quite a few music videos…how did that get started…and do you get to be selective of this type of work?
EF: I have been in a bunch of music videos. I got started by just going out for the auditions and then kinda starting getting a nack for the boyfriend roles. No i wasn’t very selective, i wanted to work with the people i did.
MV: Working with people that are established in the music industry could be a bit challenging and demanding…how was each experience different?
EF: They were all very different. They all had very different personalities and something special about each one of them, i learned a great deal from all of them.
MV: The video: “Me Haces Falta” with Jennifer Lopez, was some sort of “mini film,” — tell us about the plot of this video.
EF: Me Haces Falta was alot of fun. Jennifer was great to work with. She is very talented. The plot of the video was we both were unaware what eachother career was and we fell in love, and then it turned out she was fbi and i was an illegal arms dealer and she ended up busting at the end. It was a blast.
MV: What can we expect from Erick Fellows in the near future?
EF: Well i have a film coming out in the fall called American Cowslip, it is a dark comedy. I have a great role along side Val Kilmer playing his sidekick deputy. Its got a great cast Peter falk, Cloris Leachman,Bruce Dearn, Diane Lad… The list long, but definetly check it out.
MV: We will definitely keep our viewers updated with your career…Thanks Erick!
EF: Thank so much for the interview hope to speak to u guys soon.
Erik Fellows is definitely the actor to follow. His career is rising and let his star shine strong.
